What is gold filled?

Gold filled is a solid layer of gold bonded to a base metal (such as brass). The layer of gold is 5-10 times thicker than gold plated jewelry resulting in a very durable and long lasting product. Gold Filled jewelry is tarnish resistant and a beautiful, affordable alternative to solid gold which can also be worn by people with sensitive skin. With proper care, gold filled jewelry should last for years.

What is gold vermeil?

Gold vermeil is a heavy layer of gold plating over 925 sterling silver base metal. It has a thicker layer of gold than gold plated and is made to last with proper care.
